Happy Birthday Landon David... 6 months have flown by...

Today Landon is 6 months old! He is a beautiful boy who does not have a whole lot of hair but we love him just the same.  He smiles all the time, it doesn't take much to make him smile, a touch of the cheek, a smile at him, a kiss on the cheek... just talking to him makes him smile.  He still does not sleep through the night but he is smiling when he gets up in the middle of the night which makes it easy to see him up.  He cries and cries till you open his bedroom door and then look at him and he is smiling at you! He no longer takes a pacifier for his grumpy times, he spits it right out for sure!  He loves recieving blankets... he plays with them, snuggles them and hides behind them shyly. He loves his big sister, she sings and dances constantly and he just stairs at her in awe!  He pulls her hair constantly whenever there is a chance...but he does not pull mommy's hmmm is this the beginning of sibling rivelry?? Landon has just went to the md for his 2nd ear infection, both ears ... we are hoping that he does not take the same route as Payten but we are prepared!  Landon was weighing 16lbs 7oz at his appointment for his ears I will update the rest of the information next week after his shots.

Hilton Head Island- I am annoyed that there is no way to rotate these pictures like they are supposed to be and they are even saved the right way!

Playing at home all by myself

Length of time passed!

I pulled up the blog today only to notice I hadn't put any pictures of the kids on here since May and it's hard to believe it's almost July! Payten has been becoming more and more adament on things she wants and things she does, she will spit out anything you tell her right back at you.  She has started telling you things are boring, she uses the word incorrectly and she really means it's something she doesn't want... she will say clothes are boring when they are super colorful.  She also  says "duh" just like mommy apparently.  As she began saying it I told her that it wasn't respectful and then I noticed I say it as well, we are both working on being respectful in our speaking.  She is preparing for her 4th birthday coming up in a couple weeks, she realized that this means she is starting school and she is very excited. Landon has grown so much, he is officially eating solids 2 times a day. I make his food homemade and he loves everything from vegetable to fruit! He can roll from side to side and roll over as well if he really puts his little mind to it. He is very vocal and likes to babble to his sister and anyone who will listen.  He is intrigued by his big sister and her singing and dancing. Landon likes to be held and is not very independent, he is close to sitting and loves to stand with assistance. Recently we were struck with a tradgedy of losing our favorite Grandpa Lang! We made a premature trip to Buffalo to pay our respects and attended Uncle Jamison's wedding as well.  Therefore the kids got to meet their cousins and spend time with them. Payten loved every minute of meeting the cousins and calls Ryan and Wyatt "my boys",  she thinks Carrington is her personal servant and has made a new friend of our newest addition 4 year old Iszadora (Dora as Payten calls her) We have been busy and feels like summer is almost over. Payten begins school August 1st so we are preparing for that as we speak!
